Online presentations are offered utilizing the Adobe Acrobat Connect Pro program. Students download presentations over the internet (56K dialup connection minimum) to view presentations. All students are required to have access to a computer capable of downloading and using the latest Adobe Flash Player. No additional software is required to participate in this program; all material is easily downloaded.
Course Material:
All course material including textbooks for each section will be mailed to each participant, as part of their registration fee. Some units may have material that can also be downloaded using Microsoft Sharepoint. When students successfully complete registration for the class, web access will be given via the Certificate Coordinator.
Successful completion of the certificate program will include attendance at all of the following events, held in either Prosser or Pullman, Washington:
- Wine Camp I
- Wine Camp II
- Wine Camp III
Students are responsible for their own travel and lodging while attending grape camps. Prosser has a large Best Western Hotel in addition to local motels and B&B's in town. Food during the wine camps is also not provided; however the program makes every effort to provide lunches during the weekend, and usually there is a barbeque or potluck during the weekend.
Program documentation:
To earn a certificate for the entire program, registrants must successfully complete (Pass/Fail) ALL units.
Students may take the online portion of the course without attending the wine camps; however students will not receive a certificate of completion. Class maximum will still be 30 students, regardless of those attending the wine camps.
