Who Should Attend?

Goal of the Workshop

This workshop strives to give the potential or new grower or winemaker, a better understanding of implementing sustainable production practices to produce high quality grapes and wine.

Washington already has a highly favorable reputation for premium grape and wine quality. Join us for this two day event to learn how to make your vineyard or winery venture a success and become part of the premier Washington Wine Community.

A DVD or proceedings will be mailed to each participant as part of the registration fee.

 

Day One:

cabernet sauvignonStarting a vineyard is a large investment that requires extensive financial, marketing, and horticultural planning. The first day will address the economics of starting a vineyard, site selection, establishment, and sustainable grape production.

Day Two:

This is your opportunity to learn more about making wine, and what it takes to start a winery in Washington State. Hear from Washington winemakers and wine educators on what to look for in your grapes, the intracies of fermentation, the science of red and white winemaking and the economics of establishing and running a winery.
